I have office 97 on my home computer and office 2007 on my work computer. Are there going to be any compatibility issues if I to open any of the files from either computer?

you can set office 2007 to default save in the older format click on the button on top right and choose the options.
ALternately just do a save as and choose the format.

Yes...there are compatibilty issues
2007 files are different with certain office programs...
U can open 97 files with 2007, but not 2007 files with 97..i believe....word files are the same of course (theyre compatible, and i think powerpoint is too), Access is different i believe....just check their website

yes there are problems
I would install on the 97 computer Open Office
http://www.openoffice.org
so the 97 computer can read, edit and save in the 2007 format

Yea there definatly will
But I know that you can save files from office 07 to older versions : file - save as - *which ever version*
Going from 97 to 07 might be a problem. Ive never seen/done it but im sure it will be able to read if you can save files to 97

in the past you pass to the workplace, save the records as a be conscious 2002 or 2003 record. Older variations of MS workplace can no longer examine the extra present day report formats that workplace 2007 creates. comparable with Powerpoint, Visio etc.

they're right. When you save the Word Document on 07, click on SAVE AS. Then click word 97-2003 document. It's quite simple. I really hope that helped...
