I have Windows 7 with an admin. password. I have tried to log onto my computer, however it keeps telling me the password is invalid. When I go to answer the secret question to reset the password, it tells me that my answer is invalid. This is the only user acct. I have set up on the computer, and I can't log on! How can I log onto my computer and bypass the password?

If you can't log on to that computer, there are two ways of dealing with this problem. First of, you could format your hard drive and reinstall Windows. Or, you could pay a fee of about $30 and buy a password reset program. This is recommended if you have never installed Windows before or if you do not want to use your time doing it.

Password reset software works by providing a "Boot Loader" program. This loads up before Windows. This means it can access the hard drive where Windows is installed without it running. Since Windows always stores the password in the same configuration (same file and place), then these reset programs can locate this file and remove the stored password settings. So when you attempt to log in next time it will let you without a password. These programs cost about $30 but are worth it, especially if you are a forgetful person!

1. Enter a computer that can link to Internet. Download windows login recovery and install the software on that computer.

2. Run the software and create windows password reset disk by follow the instructions.

3. Eject the created CD/DVD and insert it into the locked computer.

4. Reboot the locked computer (it's necessary for you to change your locked computer's BIOS setting to make it boot from CD drive) and then follow the instructions to reset your password.

5. Now login Windows and set a new password.

Don't worry! i have confronted withe the same trouble before.

Em... i have got some solutions.

A worse way is to reinstall your PC.

Have a try on the Win 7 admin password recovery software tool, Windows Password Unlocker. The only thing you'd do is to burn a bootable CD/DVD. Then you can follow the wizard.

You can reinstall the operating system, or

do this: http://pogostick.net/~pnh/ntpasswd/

or buy this: http://www.password-reset.com/

I would go with either the first or second option, because I hate spending money.
