is tehparadox.com down for good?

Question

I tried to access tehparadox.com since friday october 15th 2010 but server cannot find it. And apparently the site is down. So I would like to know if it is down temporary for maintenance or for good. If for good, any other nice forums such tehparadox to recommend?

I know a mod, and the site isn't available for him, nor anyone else. No notice has been given, and everyone is in the same boat as far as knowing.

No one has been banned, no one has been blocked. It could be server issues, it could be DOS/hacking problem, or it could be upgrade issues, anything mentioned here is nothing more than speculation.

As for DESIPARADOX, it has NOTHING to do with tehparadox, never did, never will, just some WANKER claimed to be admin last time the site was down for a few weeks.



Relocate to this site at your own risk, and update your security before you register!

I got in with TP and like it for the most part. They need to resolve some search issues. You should be able to force some searches. Try searching "what about bob" and you won't find anything. It dismisses and removes search items. For cases like that you must use google.



For grabbing simple good quality rips and a few new release movies I use:

They went down for a couple days a week ago but have been fine since. Lots of links and getting a nice collection of movies together.

Same here 4 me. This is the only site/posting i could find mentioning any thing about the site being down.Strange with all the members you would think there would be more postings about this. I wish i knew if it was server upgrade or shut down permanently? If anyone have any info on this please post.

tehparadox isn't the only site I visit that is down. One of the sites said they were hacked.

Actually I think our current misfortune (Hurting bad for the paradox myself!!!) may indeed have something to do with this Torrent Freak story. I did a little whois search for tehpaaraox.com at godaddy and coincidentally enough, guess who hosts them? Yep, Reality Check Network. So I guess the simplest and most logical explanation would be that they were affected by this as well. Or else, this would probably be one one the hugest coincidences ever!! Hopefully that means that those people will have the servers back up and running by today (been long enough!!!), since they claim to have backups of all affected servers. No it isn't down for good. It is down though. Basically the host was hacked by an ex-employee, bringing a lot of sites/servers down. They are in the process of bring it back up. Read here for more info.

I doubt it, because that site has reached its goal if money sponsers. Henceforth, they are probably just adding servers or upgrading. And if your blocked from the site because of your counntry, that would have happened long ago, and if it just happened, you would get some kind of Page error. In this case the site just hangs for a long time.

In the meantime I am suffering with servers like Hotfile or Fileserve that are a real PITA, with their demands to fill-in a characters code for every single file you download.

They are down but not out! Probable cause is a server outage or lack of funds for server space. They should call me I'll rent them space as I use them pretty much exclusively!

if you will visit the twitter page, you will see that they were hacked by an ex employer, they will be out for another2-3 days.

on facebook, they do say that some of the ip-s are banned because you are using a proxy server.



so all we can do is wait for another 2-3 days and take it from there.

I really am not sure, but I am glad to see so many people worried. It was a good community not just for downloads but interactions and good quality people. Very happy to see people missing it. Hope it comes back soon.

Consequently, when I typed in "tehparadox.com", the site reports that it is indeed down; NOT blocked.
