I'm getting a message that says, Other people are logged into your computer ? Shutting Windows down might cause them to lose data ? Do you want to continue shutting down ?

What is this message ? No one should be logged into the computer ?

This is a single user computer / no one else has access to it ? Not sure why I am getting this message.

Not a problem.

In this case the computer treats you as a third person. The "other people" is you.

This error message will serve as a reminder that you may have left applications open having data you may wish to save.

As you've probably noticed, you only get this warning when you are shutting down from standby or hibernate, or after having left your machine long enough for it to power down.

This normally indicates another machine has one of your shared folders open or mapped, or a connection to one of your printers. If yours is the only machine on the network you should never get this message. Someone may be hacking, so check and tighten your security, turn off file and printer sharing and make sure the firewall is on.
