I wish to seed all my content that I have acquired from torrents for the last few years -- however, I do not have the original .torrent file that corresponds with each download -- can someone tell me what is the best way for a torrent tracker to automatically recognise the content I have (based on hash code?) and then allow me to seed any files which the tracker has listed?

I suggest that you go back to your favorite torrent sites, search for those '.torrents' files and redownload them. Set the downloads to the same folder. If it detects the same file, it will recheck the hash.

That's how I do it when I have to reinstall everything on my computer. I couldn't think of any easier way unless I keep a backup of those '.torrent files' in a sub-folder.

the thank you to Re-Seed A Torrent acquire You acquire the torrent returned to the foundation folder the place your archives are at present! a million - acquire the .torrent report from the Tracker internet site for the archives you decide directly to share; 2 - open .torrent report inclusive of your torrent customer; 3 - save to root listing the place your acquire is. If the archives you decide directly to share are in c:/myfolder/sharethisfolder/ then you definately ought to open the .torrent report and, while led to, decide on c:/myfolder/ because of the fact the listing you decide directly to save to. once you do the above, your torrent utility will examine each and all the "products" of the torrented archives to make useful your version fits what became torrented. If it fits, your acquire prestige will pass to a hundred% and could initiate seeding to different shoppers. this could make your upload/acquire ratio pass up by potential of permitting different individuals interior the "swarm" to acquire from you!
