openSUSE 11.0 installation problem?

I've downloaded and tried installing openSUSE 11. I've tried the 32-bit, 64-bit and Live CD versions, but I have the same problem with all of them. The installation ends (or is terminated) with the error message:

Failed to start the X server. (Your graphical interface). It is likely it was set up properly.

This happens even when I try to run the OS live from the CD.

Anyone else had this problem? Any ideas on what I could do about it? My computer is a Packard Bell iXrteme 2969 with a 2.4GHz Core 2 Duo CPU, 2GB of 533MHz RAM and a Radeon X1600 graphics card. The problem wouldn't be with my hardware, would it?

This is the wrong place to ask this, you need the Suse Forums, search for it in Google. They are helpful and courteous.
