How to add subtitles in a video?

I want to add subtitles in my videos and I would like to tell me if there is a program to use it. I use vistualdubmod but not working to me. I want to burn subtitles on my videos and not to write them on DVD. Can anybody help me?

Use "VSO ConvertX to DVD"It will let you add subtitle into the video. If the video file and subtitle are the same name it will be added automatically. If not, u can always add it in manually.

Use windows movie maker, which comes free with windows...it isnt' so hard to learn and the help guide is build right in there. Making movies on movie maker and posting them on youtube is such a fun hobby. Waiting to see how many view you get and all the comments. Have fun with it.
