Question:
Windows 7 Release Candidate is killing my computer! Help!!!?

Back in July, I learned that Microsoft had offered people to try yet another sample of what Windows 7 is going to look like and that sample was called Release Candidate. I read what it said on the site, that it's a bit risky and that it's only going to be for limited amount of time like 9 months or so. I took my chances and installed Win7RC on my laptop. I figured it's bound to be better than Vista. Plus it's free! Before you continue reading please look at the system properties on my laptop:

Rating: 3.1 Windows Experience Index
Processor: Intel(R) Premium(R) Dual CPU T2390 @ 1.86GHz 1.87 GHz
Installed memory (RAM): 3.00 GB
System type: 32-bit Operating System
Pen and Touch: No Pen or Touch Input is available for this Display

yes, the properties aren't exactly impressive. It took about 4 hrs for Win7RC to install, but once it was done, it worked nicely and flawlessly, although i must admit it was a little sluggish, but that's not the OS's fault as you can understand. Just barely a month since it was installed, a blue screen of death has appeared on an evening in mid-August and the system rebooted. I tried restoring it back to before the blue screen and it wouldn't work. The entire operating system was corrupted and acted weird, but over the next two months I got used to it despite the multiple errors it had. Errors included inability to have quick-launch on the taskbar, incapability of customizing the color settings of the OS, and the size of the taskbar, deleted items don't go to the recycling bin but just disappear, and a lot of the settings on the system are impossible to change. I thought I'd wait around until Windows 7 comes out and then just torrent it and install it all over again. However I'm not sure how to do it right, or which torrent to trust, and in the past 2 days the system would simply freeze and I'd be forced to restart because all I'd be able to do is move around the mouse or sometimes the system would randomly restart on its own. I don't know if this is relevant but I kept this laptop on for most of the time that I've had it, due to constant torrent downloads. Right now I'm beginning to fear that it's falling into a limbo where this computer will soon be useless, and so I'm here to ask you, the community, for help. Thank you for taking the time to help a guy out.

1) A torrent will do you no good, because you still have to buy an activation key, and you get a free disk with it. (You pay for the activation key, not the plastic disk.)

2) Blue screen is usually indicative of a hardware problem. Catch the stop code and go to http://aumha.org/a/stop.htm to see what it means and what to do about it.
