I have some data(pics, videos & docs) in my pen drive that is not hidden. When i see the properties it shows that 4.25 Gb space has been used by the data in it but when i open the pen drive it doesn't show anything in the drive but when i tried checking the same in DOS, it is showing all the files that i know i copied in pendrive few days back. I even tried to copy all the content of pendrive into some other drive on my machine but that doesn't work either. Please help me to recover the data as I'm in a dire need to save all such content.
Thanks in advance.
Warm Regards

haha virus attack just follow below steps all will be fine

. Go to Start > Run > type cmd

2. Dos will open type cd\

3. Now type the drive letter in which you want to Unhide the files lets suppose in my case its E: this will open the E: drive

4. If you want to see all hidden files and folders type E:\>dir/ah

Hi Raghav,

Have you tried typing in the path to the folder on the pendrive into your browser?

EG if in dos its h:\folder

Open up my computer and type that into the top explorer bar... if th efolder doesn't open. Have you tried copying all the files in DOS?

EG... xcopy H:\folder c:\newfolder /E /H (/E copies everything folders n all /H copies any hidden files/folders too)

Yes, the most effective way to recover your files from the pen drive is to use a data recovery software. But do not rely on freeware. It's highly possible that freeware will mess up your computer with virus and spyware. What's more, whether it recovers your files intact(some recover the files but can't open them) or not is not guaranteed.

So, I think you can try this one that I have used to get the files back from pen drive.

Get it from:

it extremely is as properly to a distinctive consumer's remark, you may consistently get well information from a disk as quickly as its deleted, yet as quickly as you start up setting up archives on it, it is going to overwrite the deleted information. as long as you havn't achieved this, your possibilities of having better all deleted archives is only approximately a hundred%.
