2GB Memory card only showing 45mb?

Question

i bought a phone from a guy. on the second day he gave me 2gb memory card which is only showing 45mb.

I tried formating, registry cleaning etc, but no luck.
The following 3 files are also present in it, even after formatting it:
bootmgr with some dots in front of it,
i|eV$=a.ar with some accents,
EMSDOS 5.0

Please help!

I recently retired a 8 GB shoehorned as a Xubuntu 13.10 booting disk (machine can boot SD while it gets no HD due to blunt screw)



Since it was bonafidily formatted as ext3/swap I cannot just throw into a Windows machine, supposedly be a simple card I think Windows' management can't help; anyway I just threw it to a Linux setup and format it back to Android-friendly format,



Otherwise it is a dying memory card on its last breadth. Are you sure you didn't mix up? Maybe the 45 number is of EMMC, the 2nd disk internally inside a phone.
