i am using windows XP service pack 2

i have turn off the windows firewall and even have it disabled from computer management > services. (this means there is no firewall at all)

i have correctly forwarded the ports in my usr9108 router. (using a static IP etc. etc. according to portforward.com )

but the strange thing is each time i check for open ports using port scanners all of the forwarded ports are blocked!!!!!!!!!!!
BUT the port which is used by uTorrent is working perfectly!!!!!!!

eg :- i have forwarded the ports XXXXX, YYYYY, ZZZZZ

say, my u torrent uses the port XXXXX , it is accepting connections when i use "Test if port is forwarded properly" button. however YYYYY and ZZZZZ are blocked.

now i change the uTorrents "current port" to YYYYY. now YYYYY is accepting the incomming connections but XXXXX and ZZZZZ are blocked...........

i want all of my forwarded ports to be unblocked........

so please please help me.... please tel me how can i get these ports open????

It is possible that you might have made a mistake while using portforward. reset your router and do the setting carefully

This is probably how it should be.

The router sees a port scanner scanning all ports and blocks it.

A port scanner is a hacker tool basically. So the router firewall is doing it's job.

Ports come up as blocked when they do not respond to incoming connections or actively refuse them.

You might have them forwarded to your computer, but if your computer has no program to answer incoming connections on those ports, they still come up as blocked.
