Hello:

I'm in a dilemma because I'm not sure how to do this. At work, I created a lot of contacts and I want themin my home computer as well. The trouble is, I dont have the internet at work. So I'm not sure how to perform this action. I was thinking about burning them on to a CD and bringing them home and copyng them into my computer but I dont know what the format is or where they are for that matter. So how do I copy the contacts from work and bring them home to be incorporated in my home computer?

If this function cannot be done, then I have to print them out and put them in manually and that is such a drag.

Does anyone know what steps I should take to do this?

Thanx

at work click on FILE/IMPORT EXPORT in outlook. then export your contacts to a external storage device such as a floppy, cd, dvd, etc.

go home and do the opposite. import them into outlook

i know no one likes reading boring internal help files. but untill you do you will continue to have problems like this one. click on help in outlook. also........

You have a couple of options. Outlook contacts are stored in a file with a .pst extension. You could copy this file to a CD or USB storage device then import it into your home copy of Outlook. This would include any folders under Personal Folders, however (Calendar, Sent Items, etc.)

Another option is to use Outlook's export feature at work. Export your Contacts folder as a csv file. Copy it to a CD or USB storage device. When you get home, use Outlook's import feature to import the csv file into your Contacts folder.
