I'm a bit confused. How did you set up a new admin account if you weren't able to access the original admin account and had not disks?

Also what OS is being used since it's "an old mac"?

you ought to use any Mac OS X DVD to restoration the password. in simple terms insert it, restart the gadget pressing the "C" key and it will boot on it. Then interior the menus you will see "reset password". in case you do not have get right of entry to to a gadget cd or dvd, there's a technique in spite of the fact that it includes booting in single-person mode and resetting the password with command line training. Do tell me in case you want it centred because it is not quite difficulty-free and that i will want greater information (OS version).

Sorry to say this, but "on mac" is not what you are dealing with. OS 10.6.8 is what you are dealing with.

Do this....

-- Open System Preferences > Accounts.

-- Select the bad account.

-- Click the - sign.
