I bought my computer in June and 3 times since its randomly gone to the Blue Screen of Death. Once when I was using Photoshop, once when I was changing a song in iTunes and once just now where I'd literally just turned it on, it went to the home screen and blue screen then restarted.
Here's the spec:

Packard Bell ixtreme M5850
Intel Core i7-2600 CPU 3.40Ghz
6 GB RAM
64 bit Operating System

I bought this computer specifically for Uni and seeing as I'm on a Special Effects course (meaning Visual Effects, 3D modelling, rendering, editing that sort of thing, having a high spec PC makes everything so much easier) & it runs everything fine, I never have any issues ever normally except these 3 times.

If it wasn't so random I'd pick up the pattern and sort it, but like I said, the three times it has done it have been really unpredictable. If anyone can suggest any sort of process I could go through to find the issue that would be brilliant, but I'd rather not have to install any new software to find it.

Thanks, if anyone needs any extra info I'll happily provide it.

Wow!! that's a really sweet computer you got there :D. I cant imagine that happening on a computer with specs like that.

Hmmmm this is a mystery.... There Could tones of reasons why your computer is doing this.

Is your computer always connected to the internet? if so, maybe try staying offline for a few hours, and within those few hours see if the BSOD has popped up. If it has then theres no prob with your computer connecting to the internet, its your computer itself that's got the problem.

Does the computer get really hot? overheat? Overheating can cause components of your computer to stop working , but since its almost a brand new computer it should be keeping very cool. But if it is hot then it might be the problem.

Do you know much about how computers work and stuff?? Well if you do, maybe open the computer case and have a look, Check to see if everything looks broken or damaged like components on the motherboard. Or it could even be a faulty motherboard or hard drive possibly o.0

Do you have a lot of programs installed on you computer? sometimes maybe rarely this could happen if you got too many programs running at once, but since you got a really good gaming high spec computer you should have no problem with that whats so every.

You should give HP a call and let them know whats going on, because no computer should be doing that at all especially something like yours. You should get it fixed or refund a new one.

So yeah, theres prob more things that could be whats causing it, but that's just common problems of the BSOD. I hope you get your problem fixed. Thanks

Information

Do you know that the Movie Industry, Audio and 3D Graphic Studios don't use MS or Mac OS they use Linux because it is faster for rendering, It's stable and secure Here is an example of what I am saying

Linux in Hollywood click n the link and read the report

You can have the same operating system and 3D graphics design software they use for free, and don't worry it's no more difficult using Linux then it is using windows I teach senior citizens to use it

Check out this video and see what the operating system is all about,

then if you like what you see send me a message and I will guide you to the Linux multi media distribution with everything you need

BSoD's usually mean something has failed, have you updated all of your drivers lately? (BIOS, Chipset, Graphics etc.)

next time it BSoD's write down what it says, it usually gives you the name of what failed.

"Update: Its hard to tell whats causing it untill it happens, but the most common reasons are: Drivers failing, hardware not seated correctly (GPU, RAM etc.), Heat (Overheating is a major issue for laptop GPUs since they cant throttle back), PSU going bad could be another reason.
