Can anyone help me remove this Virus on my Flashdrive?

So basically I inserted my Flash drive on my friend's laptop and it has a virus, it turned ALL my files into Shortcuts, but I can open it on other computers. But when I took out my files, formatted my FD and put my files back, they became shortcuts again. Can someone help me please?

you yourself are creating shortcuts just make sure you COPY and PASTE not copy and paste as shortcuts

That's not a virus. It's just the way you are inserting media to the drive. The computer thinks it's still going to host the files so is only giving you shortcuts.



When dragging and dropping the files hold down the CTRL key at the same time. And if it asks to overwrite choose yes.

also check the progress bar see if it says "Copying" instead of "Creating Shortcut"
