I'm the only one who uses this computer. Today, I found a search bar entry containing 3 words that one would use for a porn search (not repeatable). There was no website on the history, just the search bar. I absolutely did NOT type this, nor do I look at porn. I ran my scan but I don't recognize anything unusual. I thought you had to manually type something in the search bar for something to be there but for sure I did not type this. Any ideas as to what is going on? I'm pretty upset.

Hey, I had this happen to me too and my wife was pissed at me for a week. I also had a coworker that had it. It turned out I did have a virus but it didnt show up on my regular scan. It started with a "V", sorry dont remember the name of it. Anyway, I had a tech buddy who got rid of it for me. It just put a few words in the search bar like I typed it. I thought someone was messing with my machine remotely but it was a virus, not a bad one, just annoying. If you google it you might find it. Sorry I cant be more help but yeah, your not crazy. Its out there. Good luck.

Wow! This happens to me also! I can only speculate as to how this happens but, the porn industry is very rich and powerful. I am sure some of the larger sites have computer experts that know how to sneek material onto your PC. I just deal with it by deleting this smut and try to keep my PC as clean as possible. If this becomes too much to bear or if you are getting harassed by this horrible industry, get the Law involved! Also, you might want to try a different spyware program. I don't want to spam but, go to a web-site that offers free anti-malware programs and see what works for you. I use SUPERanti-spyware and this works very well for me. It has not stopped everything but, I deal with alot less smut and I am happy with this.

Possible answers:

Someone else used your computer when you weren't aware and your browser saved it and recalled it using AutoComplete or their equivalent.

You went on a search engine that specializes in porn and you didn't know it.

You have a virus. Run your anti virus, anti malware and anti spyware programs.

Firstly, make sure absolutley nobody else has been on the computer to frame you, or maybe they went on there to watch porn, without getting caught. It could have been a prank, but make sure nobody else has been on your computer, because thats what its most likley to be.:)
