How do I move quickbooks info from one computer to another?

I sent info from quickbooks via an attachment on an email but when I try to open it the response says that this website cannot be found. I also exceeded my mailbox limit by sending 5 different attachments on 5 different emails. I deleted all but one to open some space and tried it again but it still will not open the attachment.

if the computers are both within reach. Back up quickbooks to disk. You have to back up. Also if you are going to email the information. Know the back up file name. send as an attachment. The go to the other email. Download the file. You have to have quick books on Both computers. I would download to desk top so it is easy to find. Open the quickbooks you are bringing inforamtion to. and restore information.

find the file you backed up click on it

it will bring it into the window and then click restore

you need to do a quickbooks backup and then email the backup as an attachment to the other pc. The other PC needs to restore the backup.



If the backup is too big for your email system then you are going to have to either move it on a CD or USB drive or try compressing it down.

make sure the computer you are sending it to has the program to open quickbooks. If not it will not recognize this new program that u have put onto your computer.
