Hi Guys,

I want to use an image as the icon of a folder but I am not able to find icon file for it.
Can I convert a normal image file into icon file. How to do that?

Without resorting to icon editors, you can simply rename a JPEG file as "folder.jpg". The folder containing it will have its thumbnail changed to this image. It appears that PNGs can also be used this way, though with the same "folder.jpg" filename.

Otherwise, the free editor I recommend is IcoFX:

I am assuming you nave a jpeg, or other picture format, that you want to use as an icon. It has to be in an ico format. You can use the online converter at the link below. Hope this helps. Good Luck.

you can download icon creator. There are several out there some are even free. Which one is best? NO clue. File Hippo and CNET are good places to look.
