Firewall problems? I try to turn it off but it won't shut off?

I'm trying to watch some movies in Netflix and it says

"It appears that some other software (such as a firewall, anti-virus program, pop-up blocker, or ad blocker) is interfering with Javascript required for the Netflix Movie Player"

It doesn't only happen for the player but also for many online games that I try to play (Maple Story, Audition, Pirates online) I go to my firewall to shut it off but the problem still exists! What can I do? I also shut off the pop up blocker and for temporary, the antivirius program.

Mandy, I believe your computer is like most people's, in that it has two firewalls that co-exist, making it difficult for programs to run. I suggest that you head to "Control Panel" through the "start menu" and make an adjustment with the "Windows Firewall" in relations to the program(s) that you are attempting to run. If this fails, then go to Norton Firewall or w/e firewall protection program you have and try to modify it. If it becomes complicated, just e-mail me.
