1. You just moved into a new house. You have 2 laptop computers with built-in WiFi. What other equipment is needed to connect both computers to the Internet wirelessly, assuming you choose to use your cable company to access the Internet?

2. You get a new job with a government agency that gives you a third laptop. They require very high security so you are not allowed to use WiFi. Can you still connect to the Internet at home? How?

3. List 2 reasons why a user would elect to use cheap network attached storage devices at home even though their individual computers have plenty of storage capacity

4. You want to stream HD-video to your new flat panel TV. Why would a wired connection work better than a wireless one?

5. You are buying a new printer and have a choice between an infrared (IR) connection and Bluetooth. What is one factor you would consider when making your selection?

1. You will need a wireless router.

2. yes you can still connect to the internet at home through an Cat5 cable

3. If they have a second storage device then if their computer is damaged or their hard drive get corrupted then they have another copy, another reason would be if it was a network Storage Device then all the computers using that network would be able to access the data so they could share and save time.

4. Because a wired connection would be faster and have less interference.

5. Bluetooth because it is allot more popular in devices and has a longer working distance than infrared so you wouldn't have to sit as close to the printer. You would also consider what type of bluetooth it has.

Hope I helped

1. Cable modem, wireless router

2. Ethernet cable from modem, switch, router, or hub

3. a) dedicated sharing b) to have all media in one easy to access location

4. HD video/audio is usually 3-5x larger than standard. A wireless connection may lag or decrease quality due to large amount of data being transmitted. A wired connection is far more reliable.

5. Will the devices you will be printing from support IR or bluetooth. Infrared is simailar to what is found in a remote control, most newer computers do not support his any longer.
