There were some documents online...but I couldn't open them for some reason. And then somebody told me "You'll need a dvi viewer (e.g. Yap on Windows) to be able to open them." I don't really know what it is (or how to install it)...so can anybody help me?

Thanks in advance

an exstention, aka file extenstion is what type of file it is, for example a windows movie has a file extenstion of wmv a instal file has extention exe all have a dot in front of them. or pdf which is a personal data file, , usually opens with adobe. each file has its own program that opens it.

for opening .dvi files in windows

The download and installation of MiKTex is a must.

This software is free.

Once the procedure for the installation is complete,

double clicking the downloaded DVI file will open it.

MiKTex > http://miktex.org/download
