Sonic MyDvd Plus - delete it, its just a software for dvd's

HP Imaging Device - delete it, added software for HP printers, you don't really need it

HP Photosmart - same as the above, delete it if your not using it

J2SE Runtime - hmm, think twice! coz it's needed mainly on software that runs on internet

Synaptics Pointing Device Driver - dont delete this!!! not unless you really don't use it or you have uninstalled Synaptic from your PC

GemMaster Mystic - delete it, not unless you're using it

NetWaiting - you can either delete it or not... hmm, but for me i wouldn't because it might affect some of your post-installed software

Customer Experience Enhancement - haha, you better delete this one...

its just the same, you can delete Macromedia player and NOT ADOBE coz it's the updated flash player.

you dont really need sonic if you don't use it or have another similar software you use.

HP is software that comes with your printer, imaging I would say keep-photosmart is your chioce depending on how much you use imaging software and if there is an alternative.

J2SE, Synaptics - keep

Gem master mystic comes with your OS and are something to do with games like solitaire. so not necessary. but not doing any harm.

NetWaiting is something to do with your connectios - keep to be on safeside not doing any harm.

Customer Experience Enhancement - got no idea but do some research. sound like you might be ok to get rid of but it isn't doing any harm anyway.

As far as my understanding is that adobe has taken shockwave under its wing so keep adobe and macromedia can be taken off. If it is needed your system will simply let you know and its not hard or long to download and its free.

Sonic MyDvd Plus } depends on if you use it for making dvds

HP Imaging Device } Used for your all in one printer

HP Photosmart } Used for your all in one printer

J2SE Runtime } Java runtime, I wouldnt delete this

Synaptics Pointing Device Driver } For an external pointing device, do you use it?

GemMaster Mystic } Lose it

NetWaiting } Used to suspend your internet connection to use your phone if you have dialup, you can probably get rid of it

Customer Experience Enhancement } Id get rid of this too

Thing is, these programs dont really amount to a lot of space. If youre running out of space its far more likey that its a full recycle bin, a big cache size in internet explorer

empty the recycle bin

Tools /Internet Options/Browsing History Settings - reduce the cache.

Loads of articles on houskeeping out there for more details...

You can safely delete all of those apps, assuming you dont use them. None of them are critical to the operation of your system.

As for shockwave, Adobe is Macromedia... they bought them out. So, Adobe Shockwave is the latest.

you might wanna keep the Synaptics Pointing Device Driver as well if its used to control your mouse!

Try ccleaner to get rid of unneeded temporary files that are often left for a long time. If you've had your computer a while they could be taking up a lot of room:

Synaptics Pointing Device Driver

YOU NEED THAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

thats if you want to be able to use your mouse!

you also might want to keep

J2SE Runtime

if you are not using

Sonic MyDvd Plus

HP Imaging Device

HP Photosmart

then you can delete these.

I'm not sure about the above programs but there is something you can do that may help,

go to control panel,

then performance and maintenance,

then free up space on your hard disk

or

rearrange items on your hard disk,

i recommend doing both. :)

Honestly you can get rid of any software that you don't use. Unless its linked to another program. I would just do 1 at a time and see if it affects your computer's performance. If something goes wrong just do a "quick restore".

leave them alone try these first.

check in my documents ~music / pictures do you have duplicates ~delete the dups~do you need them all on your PC.

save as data files on cd/dvd.

on your media player or players~check in libararys (on both if you have 2)any duplicates or unwanted~delete them~also delete if you have a copy in my documents.

photos ~delete dups and unwanted also check in libararys for even more .

photo programs ~more than one ~check them all you will find dups there also

you get the point clean all the "hiding places" first

hope this helps

You need them both to run certain websites. Go ahead and delete everything else.
