Been wrestling with this for weeks now with the two Yahoo Mail and Thunderbird. purely study a link which advises changing the outgoing SMTP from port 25 to 587 (stepped forward tab of kit-debts-properties); seems to be engaged on the 2d. hands crossed.

I think your friend needs to run an anti virus programme, as well as you

The sent items file has a limit of 2GB. If it has reached that size it can't move the email into the sent items folder and they just sit in the "outbox" folder. Which means each time she does a send/receive mail it sends anything in the outbox again. Tell her to clear all the mails out of the sent items folder (back them up first if she needs to keep them) and out of the outbox and see if the problem keeps happening.

Check for a virus..it sounds like someone has one. There are many virus's out there that attach to the email and will send out email without you knowing it/

So check for virus's and Trojans....

Can you receive other emails on that account? If not, her email client may be sending mail with malformed headers. This can cause a "traffic jam" on a pop3 server. The symptom is the same email gets downloaded to your client over and over again....

You have to log into the pop3 server directly, usually via telnet, and delete the offending email.

If it's not that, then I'm not sure.
